Meeting Minutes for August 17, 2006
Present at the Meeting:

Topics Discussed:
·       Reviewed meeting minutes from June 22, 2006.

·       Service Department refilled holes from tree removal with topsoil and then seeded.
·       Extra gravel left over at the preserve is to be moved to the Gorman Farm
·       Brian Casey is proposing an Eagle project to put a bird/deer blind on the north side of the creek among the thicket off of the trail installed by James Owens
·       Kevin Teran is proposing an Eagle project to put up tree identifiers in the preserve
·       There was discussion that local Troop 598 Boy Scouts or Phi Lambda Pi could help with spring cleanup including removal of cattails around the edge of the pond.
·       Service department will look to put a picnic table on east side of the creek near the new headwall installed at the point where the trail crosses over the creek.
·       The committee decided to not put any trashcans in the preserve because it is extra work for the service department and it encourages the public to carry out their trash.  It also discourages people from dumping trash at the trashcan.
Action Items:
·       Service department to remove excess gravel from trail maintenance left on parking lot.
